PHOTOGRAPHER & ANIMAL LOVER

I’m a formally trained fine art photographer with 15+ years behind the camera, so you can trust me to take a bloody good photo. My career has taken me through high-volume studios, busy events and portrait photography, giving me the technical know-how to work quickly, calmly and confidently — even when my subject has four legs and absolutely no interest in following directions.

I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. I grew up with dogs, rabbits and even rats, and started Dog Daze Studios to combine my two favourite things: making beautiful photographs and celebrating the ridiculous, wonderful bond we have with our animals.

I’m also the person behind all the sets and creative ideas at Dog Daze. If there’s a backdrop or prop in a photograph, there’s a good chance I made it myself.

When I’m not photographing dogs, I’m usually listening to a history podcast, fussing over my veggie garden or finding somewhere beautiful to go for a walk.

CEO, MUSE & ACTUAL BOSS

Axel is my best friend, my soul dog, and the original Dog Daze Studios muse. As a Greyhound and the undisputed CEO of the operation, he has been involved from day one — usually from the comfort of the couch, occasionally supervising a photo shoot, and always keeping a very close eye on what’s going on.

He’s the reason I know just how much personality a dog can have, and a big part of why I fell in love with dog photography in the first place. He’s taught me that the best dog portraits aren’t always the perfectly posed ones — they’re the ones that capture exactly who they are.

When he’s not running the business, Axel can usually be found eating frozen peas, demanding a good butt scratch, stalking birds or generally making it very clear that this is his company and I’m simply here to assist.

OFFICE MANAGER & CHAOTIC GOOD GIRL

Daisy is the newest member of the Dog Daze family. Where Axel is the calm and collected businessman, Daisy is definitely the head of the chaos department. Curious, playful and always with one of her ears flipped inside out, she has a remarkable talent for turning absolutely nothing into a full-scale event.

She’s also a big part of what makes dog photography so special to us. Daisy is quick to remind us that not all dogs sit perfectly or pose on command, and actually, sometimes the best portraits are the ones where their weirdness completely takes over.

When she’s not keeping the Dog Daze team on its toes, Daisy can usually be found sniffing out blueberries, demanding couch cuddles or sneaking into her humans’ bed like she owns it.
